MY TOP 10 COMEBACKS/DEBUTS OF 2024 SO FAR

10. KILLIN’ IT (P1HARMONY)

P1HARMONY to me has always been a group to release some of the catchiest title tracks in 4^th gen boy groups since they debuted, and this song is no different. Not only is the title track one of the catchiest songs this year so far, but the entire album is also one of my contenders for ALBUM OF THE YEAR. Most of the songs on the album have a different sound for them, but they of course own it.

 

 

 

9. NECTAR (THE BOYZ)

I’ve become such a big fan of THE BOYZ in recent time, pretty much since they released ‘REVEAL’, and this new comeback of theirs is one I’m constantly listening to. It has a sense of youthful energy they haven’t portrayed outside of summer comebacks in quite a while.

 

 

 

 

8. LOVE WINS ALL (IU)

Not only is the song absolutely beautiful as usual with IU, but the music video adds a special touch to it with the meaning behind the song being acted out by BTS’s Kim Taehyung and IU herself. I love myself a good ballad and IU song, so of course this was going to be one of my favorites of the year.

 

 

 

 

7. SUPER LADY ((G)I-DLE)

(G)I-DLE has always been an amazing artist and one of my favorite girl groups and this full album shows exactly why. They’ve been killing the game comeback after comeback since they released ‘TOMBOY’ back in 2022, and I feel like this title track is a celebration for the sheer amount of success they’ve gained in recent time. It's insane to me that they have yet to release as much as a mediocre track in their entire career, but I guess that’s just the power of a group like (G)I-DLE.

 

 

 

6. NIGHTWALKER (TEN)

Its funny because I never expected such a masterpiece of a solo album to come out of TEN out of nowhere. I’ve watched him along with other NCT members closely for a long time, and I wish this album had graced my ears sooner. Not only is this one of my favorite solo albums and title tracks for this year, it's one of my favorites of all time. Every single track on this EP has been replayed so many times I’m sure Spotify is sick of it.

 

 

 

5. MY GIRL (A.C.E)

A.C.E has always been such a underrated group with SOOO many amazing songs and albums, and this comeback is no exception. It’s their first comeback after 4 of the members have served their military services, and its so catchy and fun much like their personalities. Not only is their music good, its their personalities that really sell it when they do songs like this. They seem like they’re having so much fun and its really wholesome that they included their fans in the final dance scene in the MV. Please check them out if you haven’t already!

 

 

 

4. MAGNETIC (ILLIT)

And here we have debut of the year! Most K-POP fans have heard this song (or tried to learn the hand choreo) at least once with how much its blown up since it was released. And its blown up for good reason. It’s by far the catchiest song on this list and super addictive. It’s entered my top 5 most listened to songs this year, and the whole EP follows suit.

 

 

 

3. HEYA (IVE)

This is the comeback that has officially made IVE my ult girl group. Time and time again they have impressed me and somehow improved from the last comeback. Every time they’ve released something, I think there’s no way they can top it only to do exactly that. This time around I’m actually wondering how on earth they can ever top this song because HOLY MOLY (haha get it^{because they have a song named holy moly}) is it a masterpiece. AND THE QUALITY OF THE MV??? Exceptional.

 

 

 

2. LOVE 119 (RIIZE)

I’ve been telling all my K-POP friends that this is the boy group version of Ditto (Newjeans) and I stand by that. It’s such a hauntingly beautiful song. RIIZE has really cemented themselves in 5^th gen with constant bangers, all of which had been funky or hard-hitting, until this ballad-esqe beauty came out of nowhere. The vocals in this song are mesmerizing and really make the track special.

 

 

 

1. DEJA VU (TXT)

My boys be staying on top every single year with new and improved music. I don’t know how they do it, but they just do be making masterpiece after masterpiece. This has become my second favorite title track of theirs, just barely not surpassing the queen ‘0X1=LOVESONG’. By far SONG OF THE YEAR and I don’t think anyone is going to be able to top this.
